My car didn't start and so called AAA. They came within 15mins, another 20 or 30mins for testing the battery, replacing with new one, and taking care of paperwork. I also thought the price was bit high and I am not sure how the quality of the battery is, but I definitely liked the convenience AAA provided. The technician who showed up was nice and polite but the lady on the phone was very rude.

Emergency Battery Replacement
Amount: $115.00

Car Make: ToyotaCar Model: Camry
Battery Type: AAA 3-yr Warrantied
Got stuck with a dead battery. Called AAA (I am a member). AAA told me on the phone that the cost would be $105 if I wanted to replace the battery instead of getting a free jump only. When they arrived they tested the battery and confirmed that it needed to be replaced. The actual cost was $115. They said the difference was because the $105 quote was for a smaller size battery. They very professionally replaced the dead battery in 10 minutes. I had waited 45 minutes for the service van to arrive from the time of my call. Very convenient but not the least costly way to do this. The battery has a 3 year full replacement warranty.

Absolutely great replacement, cleaned things great attitude of repair man. Fast and efficient. Everyone aught to join and get their road service. We highly praise their work, attitude and graciousness. Came to home and did work.
A garage would have charged very very much more and we would probably be still waiting in their "dumb" room. Hah! For a padded bill.
Thank you AAA, canit say enough praises for their work.

Battery Type: 680 / 800 amps
My battery is pretty standard there for 98-02 accords, should also be similar for other sedan and coupe honda's as well. The battery comes with a 36 month replacement warranty and 100 month prorated. which is the best deal I could find around. The price also includes the old battery, if you don't have it, it's an additional $9. Kirkland battery, works fine so far, for the warranty coverage it is well worth it.

Local Auto Shop

Car Make: JeepCar Model: Grand Cherokee
Battery Type: Interstate
I made the mistake of going to my local Auto sshop. They replaced my old battery with an Interstate battery, which is a great battery. However they also charged me for half an hour of labor which added an extra $40. I should have just gone to Advance Auto or AutoZone, had them run a diagnostic check, and then gotten my battery replaced for FREE. I would have saved about $60-$80!!

AAA Service -- Mixed Experience
Amount: $113.00
Posted by: GPS in Las Vegas, NV.Posted: January 19th, 2010 10:01AM
Car Make: HondaCar Model: Accord
Battery Type: AAA branded
Battery died unexpectedly past 5 PM on a Saturday, and AAA Service showed up in less than 30 minutes. The driver was courteous and seemed well-informed, and the electric hygrometer indicated that the battery should be replaced. $113 seemed slightly high but included on-the-spot installation. This would have been terrific had he not cross-connected the terminals and blown out the main fuse, which is not normally stocked at auto parts stores. Much drama and wasted time ensued until another AAA driver had the ingenuity to gerry-rig the old fuse by soldering a bridge across it. This improvised solution should not have been necessary, but it *did* allow us to close the windows before a rain storm and, in fact, drive home. We would have been better off, under the cirmstances, simply with a jump start.

1994 Honda Accord Battery
Amount: $81.89
Posted by: Beaux Zeaux in Richmond, VA.Posted: January 15th, 2010 01:01AM
Car Make: HondaCar Model: Accord EX
Battery Type: AutoCraft Silver
After slow cranking for 2-3 weeks & over 90 mos. service from the DuraLast I had in it, I went to Advance Auto Parts lured in by the $49.99 economy battery advertised in the window at the store. They said they didn't have any economy batteries listed for my car, so I bought the mid-grade at $79.99 with the $12 core charge waived, since they took in my DuraLast. Took about 15 mins. for store clerk to install for free & I was on my way. The AutoCraft has 24 mo. free replacement & 72 mo. pro-rated. With a car nearly 16 yrs. old that'll do me fine. I bought the DuraLast at AAP several years back for only $53 & got excellent service & longer than warranted period on it. I wasn't thrilled with the much higher price, but still felt it was as good a price I could find without alot of hassles. AAP makes it easy & less expensive than being at the mercy of AAA or auto repair shops. My previous experience with AAP has been very good when it comes to free warranty replacements & you get a new full warranty on the free replacement battery too. I'm satisfied this battery's replacement cost is within reasonable parameters compared to what others here have paid

2005 Honda Accord Battery

Car Make: HondaCar Model: Accord Hybrid
Battery Type: Kirkland (Costco)
Replaced OEM Honda battery that was replaced by dealer in March '07. Battery at Costco (group 35, CCA 640) cost $59.99 + $9 core + $6.75 tax (9.75% here in CA, L.A. county). Husband installed it for me, so saved $ there too. Can't beat Costco's warranty, 3 year replacement free, then 37-45 m 60%, all the way to 5% up to 100 m.

Note: I purchased this in Jan 2010 but drop down menu only went to 2009.

Called AAA when my car refused to start. The guy came over and tested the battery to find that it is dead. I was offered battery replacement for $111 and didn't know at that time if it was too much. Later found from here that it is not a bad deal especially with 3 year full warranty followed with 3 more years of prorated warranty ($3 per month).

Car Battery Replacement

Battery Type: NAPHA
I live in Canada and my car wouldn't start a week ago, so I called CAA for a charge. I was told it was likely the orginal battery and needed to be replaced. Sure enough, this morning in -14 degree celsius weather, the car wouldn't start. I called CAA, got a boost and immediately drove to an auto shop 2 blocks away. Good thing I did, because the car wouldn't start again once I got there.

The cost seems high, but the battery comes with a 5 year warranty, and the convenience factor is worth something to me. This includes taxes, labour, and disposal fees. My husband sure wasn't going to do it for me, so I had to pay someone who would.
