Battery Type: appropriate for 4 cylender |
Price quoted by AAA $148.00. Warned this was pricy. Suggested I check if original battery still under warentee (it wasn't) and to check ACS for better price. Actual AAA price $112.00, BETTER than Toyota ($144.00 - $168.00) plus old battery disposal fees) Better warentee, AND they took old battery away. If you can't install youself, AAA highly recommended for convenience and time. Made me feel my satisfaction was primary goal, not their profit. Hope they sell tires and break service soon! If you bought from AAA and feel you paid too much, you probably didn't when you consiter time and convenience. Homeside service. |

My car all of a sudden wouldn't start (at a car wash) and needed a jump; because I haven't had ANY problem whatsoever (6 1/2 yrs old, 49000 mi.)I drove to the office to check mail, and same thing happened. I was late to the dentist, stopped at a Shell station (after calling the Lexus place--battery said just recharge, but they said replace) (no time for Lexus, so paid the fee for battery, recheck electrical, battery disposal, tax, clean, etc. My son told me to go to the auto parts place (much cheaper) and ask them to install, but no time. This only happens when you are late for an appointment! (and shame on Lexus for not telling me I needed a new battery when I took it in for its expensive 50000 mi ck up in July!) |

Shopped around and, as usual, the dealer had the best price and the best warranty (35 month replacement/84 month prorated). Local garages (including franchises like Goodyear, Pep Boys, Midas) quoted up to $180 with 18 and 24 month warranties. Complete ripoff! |

What to do...both are recommended. The higher priced one has 90 more Cold Cranking Amps. Both are installed "free". According to CR - Many of the best performers in our tests are priced at only $75. We live in Georgia. |

I paid 150 for a new battery and labor. I know nothing about cars and didn't really have anybody to help me out. I feel like this was a good price since he came to my home and did everything on sight and now waiting time. |

Got a 500 Cold cranking amps, 2 year free replacement Duralast for 79.99 + Tax. I fixed it my self. I looked around a bit about this battery before i purchased and it had good reviews. If i had gone to a dealer service station it would have cost me about $150, but may be a different battery. |

Car wouldn't start. Called AAA and they were out in 30 minutes. Tested and said it needed replacement. They were done in 15 mintues and I didn't have to go anywhere. Convenience and time totally worth it for me since I had three kids under the age of 5 with me! |

Was going to head into work and found my battery had died. Went to get it tested and found I needed to replace it. Price included battery, 2 year service plan, and the state tax for the old battery cell. I think it was a premium battery but I can't be too sure. Not the amount I was expecting but after seeing the price some have paid here, I think I got the median amount. |

They load tested my old battery and it showed it was bad. It was the original battery in this 2005 Buick LeSabre. I thought $190 was high but it was convenient for me to have it done at the local repair shop. |

The easiest thing to do is go to any national auto parts store (Auto Zone, Oreily's, Advanced Auto Parts, etc.) Any of these stores will not charge you to check the battery, even if you don't buy a battery from them, and they will install the battery for you for free if you do buy it from them. Just call each of the stores around you and check to see who has the best prices for your battery. Pay more than $80 for a battery and the answer is "yes", you got ripped off. |

$50 at Wal Mart for a group 75(GM) 525 CCA, 630 CA. Same size and capacity as the original AC Delco. Replaced it myself in ten minutes. All batteries are made by either Delphi(GM), Exide, or Johnson Controls. Buy in advance, not when you are stranded! |

Decided to replace the original equipment battery (Delco Remy) after 8 years of trouble free service! Don't want to risk being stuck somewhere this winter. Store purchased gave me $7 for my old battery and $3 off the new one (60 month). I installed it myself. After reading many of the posts, it seems folks are paying way too much for a new battery and installation? |

I decided to go with AAA due to convenience @ 8:30 pm with the car full of folks. Great service! I was told I was getting a very good deal with a 6 year full warranty and a 3 year no charge full replacement and prorate thereafter. I was also told that the replacement AAA is better than the original lexus battery followed by all the tech talk and testing etc. I am not sure if the price I paid was great neither have I had the chance to check out if its an excellent deal. Just trusting AAA and the 3 year warranty. |

My car wouldn't start this morning. I had a "AAA" branded battery that came with a 36 month warranty, but I bought the battery back in Feb-06 so I was out of luck with the warranty. Interesting how the battery was rated for 36 months and indeed went bad after 43 months of good reliable service. So I went to a Goodyear repair shop and bought a new Interstate MT75 battery for $112 installed and everything. It is rated for 75 months, therefore I expect it to last for at least 75 months. If it does last 75 months, as advertised, then it should be well worth every dollar spent. |

I went to RE-CO Battery, Inc. at 748 Sheridan Blvd, Denver and bought a replacement battery for $26.95. My Trooper starts perfectly every time and now I am ready for winter here in Denver. I am very happy as I had dreaded paying anywhere from $70 to $100 for a replacement battery. Thank you god. |

Battery in car was the original Motorcraft from the factory and was 5 yrs old. Went to Auto Zone and found I needed a new battery. The voltage gauge showed a loss at idle with lights and A/C on. Bought a 65 group Duralast for $100.08 with felt washers and tax. Thought it was high until I read the other posts. |

Fairly sure my battery is under the free replacement warranty period, but can't find the receipt. Auto Zone quoted $79 with 2 yr repl/72 mos prorated wnty, but won't install. Sam's quoted $73 installed, but only 18 mos free repl wnty. Both had 650cca and 130 reserve capacity. Be sure to ck manuals to see if your car needs to relearn its idle once your battery has been changed! Mine did. |

So, maybe this is a bit higher than "do-it-yourself" but it's worth the convenience and having someone else dispose of your battery and install the new one. |
