My sons BMW 323i. They charged for more then 2 1/2 hours of labor. I feel like the labor was excessive. I don't think I will ever go back. |

They wanted to charge 215.00, ended up getting them to come down to 147, took him to offers to come down that much though. Repair shops like to try and scam, always try to get the price lowered. |

2009 Mazda 6 I Grand Touring 2.5L. Gates belt Purchased at NAPA Auto Store. Fairly easy job...Jack up car onto safety stands, remove right front wheel, remove plastic splash guard to access tension pully, used long handled ratchet to relieve tension off belt, pulled belt off. Reverse procedure to place new belt on. |

A little high compared to some other rates I called around for, but I had other maintenance I needed done where they were considerably cheaper so it all worked out. Also, my Pontiac didn't need a special belt...I'm not sure who's pulling that other guys leg about a GM product. |

Replaced serpentine belt on '93 Crown Victoria. Straightforward installtion with routing diagram on the engine cowling. There are also diagrams online. Just needed a bar with 1/2" to lever the tensioner pulley to finish the belt installation. I change belts every 6 years and take the old one and toss in the trunk as emergency part. With all due respect to the other posting, I checked the belt prices for the 2006 Pontiac at Rockauto.com and the Dayco, Gates, Goodyear and ACDelco serpentine belts are all under $20. You're at the mercy of the shop you take your vehicle into. |
